Golden Oak was really popular 20-30 years ago. We seem to refinish a lot of pieces that have the golden oak color. This particular hutch was sprayed with a dark cherry custom lacquer mix, glazed, then highlighted on the edges with black glaze to really bring out the richness of the detail work and craftsmanship of the hutch. We love these hand crafted beauties. We also added shelving in the lower section, so the customer could store more of her antique china and larger dishes. Very happy with this piece.
